An apartment dog gets less ground and more neighbors. There is no back door, the hallway carpet is not yours, and anything that squeaks at nine in the evening is heard by somebody who did not choose to live with a dog. Small space, thin walls, no yard
You rent. The dog goes out on a leash six times a day and comes back through a shared lobby. Nylon disc, deep bowl, foaming brush and a chew
SodaPup describes the Earth eCoin as a 5 inch nylon disc with treat holding grooves on both faces, in yellow with a sunflower motif, for dogs and cats of all sizes. Nylon is the relevant word. A flat disc is not a ball, so there is nothing to knock off a skirting board at nine in the evening, and if the dog chews the disc instead of licking it, SodaPup lists that as a use rather than a failure. SodaPup says it cleans up in the dishwasher.
The deep feeder is where dinner slows down. SodaPup describes the Flower eBowl as a slow feeder with a petal pattern ridge maze, made from TPE, about 8 by 8 by 2 inches deep and holding 4 cups, for medium and large dogs and large breed puppies. Turning a two minute meal into ten is most of an apartment dog's daily enrichment, and it costs you nothing in floor space because the bowl was going down anyway. SodaPup says it takes the freezer, the microwave and the dishwasher, so a wet portion pressed into the petals the night before is a longer dinner with no extra work.
Paws are the other half of apartment living. Cleo&Hooman describes Scrub-a-Pup-Pup as a foaming paw cleanser in a 200 ml bottle with a silicone brush head built into the pump, so the foam and the scrubber reach the paw at the same time. The routine Cleo&Hooman gives takes about a minute: shake, pump the foam onto the paw, work it between the toes, then wipe or air dry. That happens at the door, standing up, with a towel you already own. There is nowhere else in a flat for it to happen.
Our air-dried chicken feet are the chew, and they are ours, air-dried in small batches in Malvern, Pennsylvania with chicken feet as the only ingredient. Texture is crunchy and crispy. A pack of 6 or 18 means you can hand one over most evenings without it becoming an event, which is the right frequency for a dog that is not getting a two hour hike. Supervise it, and take the last piece when it gets small enough to swallow whole.
The tire stack holder is optional and it is ours. Six trips down in the elevator a day is six chances to leave the bags on the kitchen counter, so the roll goes on the leash instead. It is printed in PETG at about 2 oz, and the top tire unscrews so any standard roll drops in.
Why no treadmill and no artificial grass pad
Small space dog lists almost always include a grass pad. We do not sell one and we would not put one here anyway, because for an adult dog with six walks a day it solves a problem you do not have and creates a cleaning job you did. The other common suggestion is a dog treadmill, which is a serious piece of equipment for a working dog and an expensive coat rack for most renters. Chewing and licking fill the same hours for a fraction of the footprint.
A week of quieter evenings
Start with dinner in the deep bowl and change nothing else. Feed the same amount at the same time, because the point is the same food taking longer rather than a smaller meal.
Put the cleanser by the door on day one, not in a cabinet. A bottle you have to fetch is a bottle you stop using by Thursday, and the whole value of it is that it happens in the four seconds between the hallway and the rug.
Give the eCoin at the hour your dog usually gets restless. For most apartment dogs that is early evening, when the building gets loud and the dog has been in since the afternoon. Load it, put it down on a mat, and let it run.

What it replaces

Questions about noise, paws and chews
Will a lick mat on a hard floor make noise?
The nylon disc slides more than it knocks, which is the quieter failure mode. Put it on a bath mat or a folded towel and it stays put. If your dog pushes it around the kitchen deliberately, that is usually a sign the spread ran out.
How do I clean paws without a bath every day?
Foam, brush, wipe, at the door. Cleo&Hooman describes the brush head as reaching between the toes and into the paw pads where a wipe cannot, and a minute of that beats a full wash for ordinary sidewalk grime.
Are chicken feet too messy for a flat?
