An All-Orange Plane With a US Air Force Roundel
An all-orange vintage military aircraft with a clearly legible United States Air Force star and bar roundel gave Ella one of her best airport-heritage shots at Downshift Nation's Terminal Takeover, held at Reading Airport. The exact aircraft type is not confirmed beyond the markings and shape visible near the main wheel.
Ella climbed up onto the main wheel itself, sitting directly in line with the roundel for the lead shot, then held the same perch for a second and third frame, tongue out and happy with the orange fuselage filling the background. A last shot caught her looking back over her shoulder, her name visible on her harness.
Climbing up onto a wheel this size and holding a pose takes patience, and a bag of our freeze-dried dog treats is how we kept her steady through the whole series. Anyone driving out from our side of Pennsylvania for a show like this can check our town guide before heading east.
The red and white plane with the smiley face nose art gets its own post here, and the rest of Ella's stops are on our events board.
