Guaranteed analysis (as fed, per manufacturer): Crude Protein (min) 24%, Crude Fat (min) 18%, Crude Fiber (max) 4%, Moisture (max) 10%, Calcium (min) 1.1%, Phosphorus (min) 0.9%, Vitamin E (min) 150 IU/kg, Omega 6 Fatty Acids (min) 2.6%, Omega 3 Fatty Acids (min) 0.6%. Calorie content published as 418 kcal per cup and 3,678 kcal per kilogram. On a dry matter basis the guarantees work out to roughly 27 percent protein and 20 percent fat.

This is the grain inclusive small kibble in the range, and it is worth knowing how it sits against its three near relatives, because the names do very little to separate them. It carries the same ingredient list as the Little Bites Lite version, differing only in that this one adds Malted Barley, yet the two publish quite different fat: 18% as-fed minimum here against 7.5% minimum on the Lite bag, and 418 kcal per cup here against 288. That is the real distinction between the two, and it is a large one. This recipe also carries the higher omega guarantees of the line, 2.6% and 0.6% where the grain free bags publish 2.5% and 0.5%. Two label notes transcribed rather than corrected: the mineral is printed as Calcium lodate, with a lower case L in place of the capital I, and the organism as Dried Bacillus coagulants rather than coagulans, both exactly as the maker prints them. Menhaden Fish Meal appears seventh, so this is not a single protein food despite the chicken name. Health Extension publishes no made-in statement and no sourcing statement for this recipe, which holds the disclosure tally at 6 rather than 8.
