Guaranteed analysis (as fed, per manufacturer): Crude Protein (min) 11%, Crude Fat (min) 4%, Crude Fiber (max) 1.5%, Moisture (max) 82%. Energy 977 kcal/kg calculated metabolizable energy, or 355 kcal per 12.8 oz can. AAFCO: ORIJEN Original Stew Dog Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance. Chicken is the first ingredient.

The poultry entry in Orijen's stew range, and the most organ heavy list of the four wet recipes we checked this week: chicken liver, chicken heart, turkey liver and turkey heart all appear, alongside two fish, herring and mackerel. That breadth is the point of the WholePrey approach Orijen markets, but it also means this is a poor fit for a dog on a poultry or fish elimination trial, since four species are present. At 977 kcal/kg it is the least calorie dense of the Orijen stews, about 11 percent below the Tundra. Note the label prints natural flavour with the British spelling while the rest of the range uses natural flavor, transcribed here as printed, and that the AAFCO statement covers maintenance only.
